Avshalom's servants came to the woman to the house; and they said, Where are Achima`atz and Yonatan? The woman said to them, They have gone over the brook of water. When they had sought and could not find them, they returned to Yerushalayim.


He said to him, I also am a prophet as you are; and an angel spoke to me by the word of the LORD, saying, Bring him back with you into your house, that he may eat bread and drink water. [But] he lied to him.


He who practices deceit won't dwell within my house. He who speaks falsehood won't be established before my eyes.


I said in my haste, *All men are liars.*


*You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.


*You shall not covet your neighbor's house. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's.*


*If a man steals an ox or a sheep, and kills it, or sells it; he shall pay five oxen for an ox, and four sheep for a sheep.


*If a man delivers to his neighbor money or stuff to keep, and it is stolen out of the man's house; if the thief is found, he shall pay double.


*You shall not spread a false report. Don't join your hand with the wicked to be a malicious witness.


Don't be a witness against your neighbor without cause. Don't deceive with your lips.


For from the least of them even to the greatest of them everyone is given to covetousness; and from the prophet even to the Kohen everyone deals falsely.


You shall not glean your vineyard, neither shall you gather the fallen grapes of your vineyard; you shall leave them for the poor and for the foreigner. I am the LORD your God.


May it never be! Yes, let God be found true, but every man a liar. As it is written, *That you might be justified in your words, and might prevail when you come into judgment.*


Therefore, putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor. For we are members of one another.


Let him who stole steal no more; but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing that is good, that he may have something to give to him who has need.


Don't lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his doings,


for the sexually immoral, for homosexuals, for slave-traders, for liars, for perjurers, and for any other thing contrary to the sound doctrine;


But for the cowardly, unbelieving, sinners, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their part is in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.*
