LORD, you God to whom vengeance belongs, you God to whom vengeance belongs, shine forth.


One who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm.


Go you forth from Bavel, flee you from the Kasdim; with a voice of singing declare you, tell this, utter it even to the end of the earth: say you, the LORD has redeemed his servant Ya`akov.


For the day of vengeance was in my heart, and the year of my redeemed is come.


For many nations and great kings shall make bondservants of them, even of them; and I will recompense them according to their deeds, and according to the work of their hands.


They shall drink, and reel back and forth, and be mad, because of the sword that I will send among them.


All the nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son's son, until the time of his own land come: and then many nations and great kings shall make him their bondservant.


For that day is [a day] of the Lord, the LORD of Armies, a day of vengeance, that he may avenge him of his adversaries: and the sword shall devour and be satiate, and shall drink its fill of their blood; for the Lord, the LORD of Armies, has a sacrifice in the north country by the river Perat.


Flee, save your lives, and be like the heath in the wilderness.


Shout against her round about: she has submitted herself; her bulwarks are fallen, her walls are thrown down; for it is the vengeance of the LORD: take vengeance on her; as she has done, do to her.


The voice of those who flee and escape out of the land of Bavel, to declare in Tziyon the vengeance of the LORD our God, the vengeance of his temple.


Behold, I am against you, you proud one, says the Lord, the LORD of Armies; for your day is come, the time that I will visit you.


Flee out of the midst of Bavel, and go forth out of the land of the Kasdim, and be as the male goats before the flocks.


Make sharp the arrows; hold firm the shields: the LORD has stirred up the spirit of the kings of the Madai; because his purpose is against Bavel, to destroy it: for it is the vengeance of the LORD, the vengeance of his temple.


Therefore thus says the LORD: Behold, I will plead your cause, and take vengeance for you; and I will dry up her sea, and make her fountain dry.


My people, go you out of the midst of her, and save yourselves every man from the fierce anger of the LORD.


You who have escaped the sword, go you, don't stand still; remember the LORD from afar, and let Yerushalayim come into your mind.


for the destroyer is come on her, even on Bavel, and her mighty men are taken, their bows are broken in pieces; for the LORD is a God of recompenses, he will surely requite.


We would have healed Bavel, but she is not healed: forsake her, and let us go everyone into his own country; for her judgment reaches to heaven, and is lifted up even to the skies.


You will render to them a recompense, LORD, according to the work of their hands.


He spoke to the congregation, saying, Depart, I pray you, from the tents of these wicked men, and touch nothing of theirs, lest you be consumed in all their sins.


Outside the sword shall bereave, and in the chambers, terror; on both young man and virgin, The suckling with the gray-haired man.


if I whet my glittering sword, My hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to my adversaries, and will recompense those who hate me.


Rejoice, you nations, [with] his people, for he will avenge the blood of his servants. He will render vengeance to his adversaries, And will make expiation for his land, for his people.


Lay hands hastily on no one, neither be a participant in other men's sins. Keep yourself pure.


The great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. Bavel the great was remembered in the sight of God, to give to her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.
