*I will rise up against them,* says the LORD of Armies, *and cut off from Bavel name and remnant, and son and son's son,* says the LORD.


Behold, the land of the Kasdim. This people was not. The Ashur founded it for those who dwell in the wilderness. They set up their towers. They overthrew its palaces. They made it a ruin.


Thus says the LORD against all my evil neighbors, who touch the inheritance which I have caused my people Yisra'el to inherit: behold, I will pluck them up from off their land, and will pluck up the house of Yehudah from among them.


She who has borne seven languishes; she has given up the spirit; her sun is gone down while it was yet day; she has been disappointed and confounded: and the residue of them will I deliver to the sword before their enemies, says the LORD.


For thus says the LORD concerning the house of the king of Yehudah: You are Gil`ad to me, [and] the head of Levanon; [yet] surely I will make you a wilderness, [and] cities which are not inhabited.


It shall happen, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Bavel, and that nation, says the LORD, for their iniquity, and the land of the Kasdim; and I will make it desolate forever.


and all the kings of the north, far and near, one with another; and all the kingdoms of the world, which are on the surface of the earth: and the king of Sheshakh shall drink after them.


Therefore, behold, the days come, says the LORD, that I will cause an alarm of war to be heard against Rabbah of the children of `Ammon; and it shall become a desolate heap, and her daughters shall be burned with fire: then shall Yisra'el possess those who did possess him, says the LORD.


Her cities are become a desolation, a dry land, and a desert, a land in which no man dwells, neither does any son of man pass thereby.


Therefore, behold, the days come, that I will execute judgment on the engraved images of Bavel; and her whole land shall be confounded; and all her slain shall fall in the midst of her.


But the Yerushalayim that is above is free, which is the mother of us all.


And on her forehead a name was written, *MYSTERY, BAVEL THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF THE PROSTITUTES AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.*
