I went to the house of Shemayah the son of Delayah the son of Mehetav'el, who was shut up; and he said, Let us meet together in the house of God, within the temple, and let us shut the doors of the temple: for they will come to kill you; yes, in the night will they come to kill you.


You have taken my friends from me. You have made me an abomination to them. I am confined, and I can't escape.


Then Pashchur struck Yirmeyahu the prophet, and put him in the stocks that were in the upper gate of Binyamin, which was in the house of the LORD.


and I delivered the deed of the purchase to Barukh the son of Neriyah 1, the son of Mechaseyah, in the presence of Chanam'el my uncle's son, and in the presence of the witnesses who subscribed the deed of the purchase, before all the Jews who sat in the court of the guard.


Now at that time the king of Bavel's army was besieging Yerushalayim; and Yirmeyahu the prophet was shut up in the court of the guard, which was in the king of Yehudah's house.


Moreover the word of the LORD came to Yirmeyahu the second time, while he was yet shut up in the court of the guard, saying,


The princes were angry with Yirmeyahu, and struck him, and put him in prison in the house of Yonatan the scribe; for they had made that the prison.


So Yirmeyahu abode in the court of the guard until the day that Yerushalayim was taken.


Then took they Yirmeyahu, and cast him into the dungeon of Malkiyah the king's son, that was in the court of the guard: and they let down Yirmeyahu with cords. In the dungeon there was no water, but mire; and Yirmeyahu sank in the mire.


Now, behold, I loose you this day from the chains which are on your hand. If it seems good to you to come with me into Bavel, come, and I will take care of you; but if it seems bad to you to come with me into Bavel, don't: behold, all the land is before you; where it seems good and right to you to go, there go.


Are they servants of Messiah? (I speak as one beside himself) I am more so; in labors more abundantly, in prisons more abundantly, in stripes above measure, in deaths often.


For this cause I, Sha'ul, am the prisoner of Messiah Yeshua on behalf of you Gentiles,


for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.


in which I suffer hardship to the point of chains as a criminal. But God's word isn't chained.


Others were tried by mocking and scourging, yes, moreover by bonds and imprisonment.
