Let them be disappointed and turned backward, all those who hate Tziyon.


But if you indeed listen to his voice, and do all that I speak, then I will be an enemy to your enemies, and an adversary to your adversaries.


for the LORD will plead their case, and plunder the life of those who plunder them.


The peoples will take them, and bring them to their place. The house of Yisra'el will possess them in the LORD's land for servants and for handmaids. They will take as captives those whose captives they were; and they shall rule over their oppressors.


Woe to you who destroy, but you weren't destroyed; and who betray, but nobody betrayed you! When you have finished destroying, you will be destroyed; and when you have made an end of betrayal, you will be betrayed.


Behold, they may gather together, but not by me: whoever shall gather together against you shall fall because of you.


No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness which is of me, says the LORD.


Pour out your wrath on the nations that don't know you, and on the families that don't call on your name: for they have devoured Ya`akov, yes, they have devoured him and consumed him, and have laid waste his habitation.


Thus says the LORD against all my evil neighbors, who touch the inheritance which I have caused my people Yisra'el to inherit: behold, I will pluck them up from off their land, and will pluck up the house of Yehudah from among them.


Yisra'el [was] holiness to the LORD, the first fruits of his increase: all who devour him shall be held guilty; evil shall come on them, says the LORD.


It shall happen, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Bavel, and that nation, says the LORD, for their iniquity, and the land of the Kasdim; and I will make it desolate forever.


Why cry you for your hurt? your pain is incurable: for the greatness of your iniquity, because your sins were increased, I have done these things to you.


The voice of those who flee and escape out of the land of Bavel, to declare in Tziyon the vengeance of the LORD our God, the vengeance of his temple.


The snorting of his horses is heard from Dan: at the sound of the neighing of his strong ones the whole land trembles; for they are come, and have devoured the land and all that is in it; the city and those who dwell therein.


They have heard that I sigh; there is none to comfort me; All my enemies have heard of my trouble; they are glad that you have done it: You will bring the day that you have proclaimed, and they shall be like me.


Let all their wickedness come before you; Do to them, as you have done to me for all my transgressions: For my sighs are many, and my heart is faint.


All the inhabitants of Egypt will know that I am the LORD, because they have been a staff of reed to the house of Yisra'el.


Because you have had a perpetual enmity, and have given over the children of Yisra'el to the power of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time of the iniquity of the end;


and I will sell your sons and your daughters into the hands of the children of Yehudah, and they will sell them to the men of Sheva, to a faraway nation, for the LORD has spoken it.*


Now many nations have assembled against you, that say, *Let her be defiled, and let our eye gloat over Tziyon.*


Then my enemy will see it, and shame will cover her who said to me, where is the LORD your God? Then my enemy will see me and will cover her shame. Now she will be trodden down like the mire of the streets.


But with an overflowing flood, he will make a full end of her place, and will pursue his enemies into darkness.


You are filled with shame, and not glory. You will also drink, and be exposed! The cup of the LORD's right hand will come around to you, and disgrace will cover your glory.


I have heard the reproach of Mo'av, and the insults of the children of `Ammon, with which they have reproached my people, and magnified themselves against their border.


So the angel who talked with me said to me, *Proclaim, saying, 'Thus says the LORD of Armies: *I am jealous for Yerushalayim and for Tziyon with a great jealousy.


I am very angry with the nations that are at ease; for I was but a little displeased, but they added to the calamity.*


*Behold, I will make Yerushalayim a cup of reeling to all the surrounding peoples, and on Yehudah also will it be in the siege against Yerushalayim.


For I will gather all nations against Yerushalayim to battle; and the city will be taken, the houses rifled, and the women ravished. Half of the city will go out into captivity, and the rest of the people will not be cut off from the city.


The LORD will inherit Yehudah as his portion in the holy land, and will again choose Yerushalayim.


For thus says the LORD of Armies: 'For honor he has sent me to the nations which plundered you; for he who touches you touches the apple of his eye.


The LORD your God will put all these curses on your enemies, and on those who hate you, who persecuted you.


If anyone has captivity, he will go. If anyone is with the sword, he must be killed. Here is the endurance and the faith of the holy ones.


The children of Yisra'el returned from chasing after the Pelishtim, and they plundered their camp.
