and he spoke kindly to him, and set his throne above the throne of the kings who were with him in Bavel,


Thus says Koresh king of Paras, All the kingdoms of the earth has the LORD, the God of heaven, given me; and he has charged me to build him a house in Yerushalayim, which is in Yehudah. Whoever there is among you of all his people, the LORD his God be with him, and let him go up.


Who says of Koresh, [He is] my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure, even saying of Yerushalayim, She shall be built; and of the temple, Your foundation shall be laid.


Afterward, says the LORD, I will deliver Tzidkiyahu king of Yehudah, and his servants, and the people, even such as are left in this city from the pestilence, from the sword, and from the famine, into the hand of Nevukhadnetzar 1 king of Bavel, and into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of those who seek their life: and he shall strike them with the edge of the sword; he shall not spare them, neither have pity, nor have mercy.


and I will give you into the hand of those who seek your life, and into the hand of them of whom you are afraid, even into the hand of Nevukhadnetzar 1 king of Bavel, and into the hand of the Kasdim.


The LORD shown me, and behold, two baskets of figs set before the temple of the LORD, after that Nevukhadnetzar 1 king of Bavel had carried away captive Yekhonyah the son of Yehoiakim, king of Yehudah, and the princes of Yehudah, with the craftsmen and smiths, from Yerushalayim, and had brought them to Bavel.


behold, I will send and take all the families of the north, says the LORD, and [I will send] to Nevukhadnetzar 1 the king of Bavel, my servant, and will bring them against this land, and against the inhabitants of it, and against all these nations round about; and I will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, and a hissing, and perpetual desolations.


For thus says the LORD of Armies, the God of Yisra'el: I have put a yoke of iron on the neck of all these nations, that they may serve Nevukhadnetzar 1 king of Bavel; and they shall serve him: and I have given him the animals of the field also.


and tell them, Thus says the LORD of Armies, the God of Yisra'el: Behold, I will send and take Nevukhadnetzar 1 the king of Bavel, my servant, and will set his throne on these stones that I have hidden; and he shall spread his royal pavilion over them.


Flee you, wander far off, dwell in the depths, you inhabitants of Chatzor, says the LORD; for Nevukhadnetzar 1 king of Bavel has taken counsel against you, and has conceived a purpose against you.


I will make the land of Egypt a desolation in the midst of the countries that are desolate; and her cities among the cities that are laid waste shall be a desolation forty years; and I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and will disperse them through the countries.*


I will strengthen the arms of the king of Bavel, and put my sword in his hand: but I will break the arms of Par`oh, and he shall groan before him with the groanings of a deadly wounded man.


The leaves of it were beautiful, and the fruit of it much, and in it was food for all: the animals of the field had shadow under it, and the birds of the sky lived in the branches of it, and all flesh was fed from it.


it is you, O king, that are grown and become strong; for your greatness is grown, and reaches to the sky, and your dominion to the end of the earth.
