The LORD looked down from heaven on the children of men, to see if there were any who did understand, who did seek after God.


A senseless man doesn't know, neither does a fool understand this:


Consider, you senseless among the people; you fools, when will you be wise?


Let all them be shamed who serve engraved images, who boast in their idols. Worship him, all you gods!


*Surely I am the most ignorant man, and don't have a man's understanding.


*Those who trust in engraved images, who tell molten images, 'You are our gods' will be turned back. They will be utterly disappointed.


Behold, all his fellows will be disappointed; and the workmen are mere men. Let them all be gathered together. Let them stand up. They will fear. They will be put to shame together.


They shall be disappointed, yes, confounded, all of them; they shall go into confusion together who are makers of idols.


I will declare your righteousness; and as for your works, they shall not profit you.


They are like a palm tree, of turned work, and don't speak: they must be carried, because they can't go. Don't be afraid of them; for they can't do evil, neither is it in them to do good.*


But they are together brutish and foolish: the instruction of idols! it is but a stock.


who exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amein.
