I, even I, do bring the flood of waters on this earth, to destroy all flesh having the breath of life from under the sky. Everything that is in the earth will die.


Therefore thus says the LORD concerning the king of Ashur, He shall not come to this city, nor shoot an arrow there, neither shall he come before it with shield, nor cast up a mound against it.


and the rest of the nations whom the great and noble Asnappar 1 brought over, and set in the city of Shomron, and in the rest [of the country] beyond the River, and so forth.


There is a river, the streams of which make the city of God glad, the holy place of the tents of the Elyon.


He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, from the River to the ends of the earth.


Therefore the Lord, the LORD of Armies, will send among his fat ones leanness; and under his glory a burning will be kindled like the burning of fire.


Alas Ashur, the rod of my anger, the staff in whose hand is my indignation!


The LORD will utterly destroy the tongue of the Egyptian sea; and with his scorching wind he will wave his hand over the River, and will split it into seven streams, and cause men to march over in sandals.


*Because you have said, 'We have made a covenant with death, and with She'ol are we in agreement. When the overflowing scourge passes through, it won't come to us; for we have made lies our refuge, and we have hidden ourselves under falsehood.'*


I will make justice the measuring line, and righteousness the plumb line. The hail will sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters will overflow the hiding place.


Behold, the Lord has a mighty and strong one. Like a storm of hail, a destroying storm, and like a storm of mighty waters overflowing, he will cast them down to the earth with his hand.


When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned, and flame will not scorch you.


So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun; for he will come as a rushing stream, which the breath of the LORD drives.


The LORD will bring on you, on your people, and on your father's house, days that have not come, from the day that Efrayim departed from Yehudah; even the king of Ashur.


In that day the Lord will shave with a razor that is hired in the parts beyond the River, even with the king of Ashur, the head and the hair of the feet; and it shall also consume the beard.


Thus says the LORD: Behold, waters rise up out of the north, and shall become an overflowing stream, and shall overflow the land and all that is therein, the city and those who dwell therein; and the men shall cry, and all the inhabitants of the land shall wail.


The sea is come up on Bavel; she is covered with the multitude of the waves of it.


For thus says the Lord GOD: When I shall make you a desolate city, like the cities that are not inhabited; when I shall bring up the deep on you, and the great waters shall cover you;


His sons shall war, and shall assemble a multitude of great forces, which shall come on, and overflow, and pass through; and they shall return and war, even to his fortress.


The overwhelming forces shall be overwhelmed from before him, and shall be broken; yes, also the prince of the covenant.


After the sixty-two weeks the Anointed One shall be cut off, and shall have nothing: and the people of the prince who shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end of it shall be with a flood, and even to the end shall be war; desolations are determined.


Won't the land tremble for this, and everyone mourn who dwells in it? Yes, it will rise up wholly like the River; and it will be stirred up and sink again, like the River of Egypt.


For the Lord, the LORD of Armies, is he who touches the land and it melts, and all who dwell in it will mourn; and it will rise up wholly like the River, and will sink again, like the River of Egypt.


For her wounds are incurable; for it has come even to Yehudah. It reaches to the gate of my people, even to Yerushalayim.


He shall stand, and shall shepherd in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God: and they will live, for then he will be great to the ends of the earth.


He will be our shalom when Ashur invades our land, and when he marches through our fortresses, then we will raise against him seven shepherds, and eight leaders of men.


But with an overflowing flood, he will make a full end of her place, and will pursue his enemies into darkness.


He is like a man building a house, who dug and went deep, and laid a foundation on the rock. When a flood arose, the stream broke against that house, and could not shake it, because it was founded on the rock.


He said to me, *The waters which you saw, where the prostitute sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations, and languages.
