He made two capitals of molten brass, to set on the tops of the pillars: the height of the one capital was five cubits, and the height of the other capital was five cubits.


The spring gate repaired Shallun the son of Kolchozeh, the ruler of the district of Mitzpah; he built it, and covered it, and set up the doors of it, the bolts of it, and the bars of it, and the wall of the pool of Shelach by the king's garden, even to the stairs that go down from the city of David.


There is a river, the streams of which make the city of God glad, the holy place of the tents of the Elyon.


but if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured with the sword; for the mouth of the LORD has spoken it.*


Behold, the Lord has a mighty and strong one. Like a storm of hail, a destroying storm, and like a storm of mighty waters overflowing, he will cast them down to the earth with his hand.


Therefore thus says the Holy One of Yisra'el, *Because you despise this word, and trust in oppression and perverseness, and rely on it;


Therefore as the tongue of fire devours the stubble, and as the dry grass sinks down in the flame, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust; because they have rejected the law of the LORD of Armies, and despised the word of the Holy One of Yisra'el.


Tell him, 'Be careful, and keep calm. Don't be afraid, neither let your heart be faint because of these two tails of smoking firebrands, for the fierce anger of Retzin and Syria, and of the son of Remalyahu.


*Let's go up against Yehudah, and tear it apart, and let's divide it among ourselves, and set up a king in the midst of it, even the son of Tav'el.*


and the head of Efrayim is Shomron, and the head of Shomron is Remalyahu's son. If you will not believe, surely you shall not be established.'*


The LORD spoke to me yet again, saying,


Shall the snow of Levanon fail from the rock of the field? [or] shall the cold waters that flow down from afar be dried up?


For my people have committed two evils: they have forsaken me, the spring of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.


Now what have you to do in the way to Egypt, to drink the waters of the Shichor? or what have you to do in the way to Ashur, to drink the waters of the River?


Or those eighteen, on whom the tower in Shiloach fell, and killed them; do you think that they were worse offenders than all the men who dwell in Yerushalayim?


and said to him, *Go, wash in the pool of Shiloach* (which means *Sent*). So he went away, washed, and came back seeing.
