Our soul is exceedingly filled with the scoffing of those who are at ease, with the contempt of the proud.


Give ear, and hear my voice! Listen, and hear my speech!


Moreover the LORD said, *Because the daughters of Tziyon are haughty, and walk with outstretched necks and flirting eyes, walking to trip as they go, jingling ornaments on their feet;


For a voice of wailing is heard out of Tziyon, How are we ruined! we are greatly confounded, because we have forsaken the land, because they have cast down our dwellings.


Yet hear the word of the LORD, you women, and let your ear receive the word of his mouth; and teach your daughters wailing, and everyone her neighbor lamentation.


Those who did feed delicately are desolate in the streets: Those who were brought up in scarlet embrace dunghills.
