Therefore the LORD was very angry with Yisra'el, and removed them out of his sight: there was none left but the tribe of Yehudah only.


until the LORD removed Yisra'el out of his sight, as he spoke by all his servants the prophets. So Yisra'el was carried away out of their own land to Ashur to this day.


If his children are multiplied, it is for the sword. His offspring shall not be satisfied with bread.


I have winnowed them with a fan in the gates of the land; I have bereaved [them] of children, I have destroyed my people; they didn't return from their ways.


Be instructed, Yerushalayim, lest my soul be alienated from you; lest I make you a desolation, a land not inhabited.


Look, LORD, and see to whom you have done thus! Shall the women eat their fruit, the children that are dandled in the hands? Shall the Kohen and the prophet be killed in the sanctuary of the Lord?


You have called, as in the day of a solemn assembly, my terrors on every side; There was none that escaped or remained in the day of the LORD's anger: Those that I have dandled and brought up has my enemy consumed.


Woe to them! For they have wandered from me. Destruction to them! For they have trespassed against me. Though I would redeem them, yet they have spoken lies against me.


I have seen Efrayim, like Tzor, planted in a pleasant place; but Efrayim will bring out his children to the murderer.


Efrayim is struck. Their root has dried up. They will bear no fruit. Even though they bring forth, yet I will kill the beloved ones of their womb.*


The LORD will cut off, to the man who does this, him who wakes and him who answers, out of the tents of Ya`akov, and him who offers an offering to the LORD of Armies.
