I will make you swear by the LORD, the God of heaven and the God of the earth, that you shall not take a wife for my son of the daughters of the Kena`anim, among whom I live.


Then will you be clear from my oath, when you come to my relatives. If they don't give her to you, you shall be clear from my oath.'


Now come, let us make a covenant, you and I; and let it be for a witness between me and you.*


His master saw that the LORD was with him, and that the LORD made all that he did prosper in his hand.


It happened from the time that he made him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, that the LORD blessed the Egyptian's house for Yosef's sake; and the blessing of the LORD was on all that he had, in the house and in the field.

But you shall be named the Kohanim of the LORD; men shall call you the ministers of our God: you shall eat the wealth of the nations, and in their glory shall you boast yourselves.


Their seed shall be known among the nations, and their offspring among the peoples; all who see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the LORD has blessed.


What then shall we say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?


And thus the secrets of his heart are revealed. So he will fall down on his face and worship God, declaring that God is among you indeed.


Be free from the love of money, content with such things as you have, for he has said, *I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you.*


For men indeed swear by a greater one, and in every dispute of theirs the oath is final for confirmation.


The LORD said to Yehoshua, This day will I begin to magnify you in the sight of all Yisra'el, that they may know that, as I was with Moshe, so I will be with you.
