There was a strife between the herdsmen of Avram's livestock and the herdsmen of Lot's livestock: and the Kena`ani and the Perizzi lived in the land at that time.


Avimelekh said, *I don't know who has done this thing. Neither did you tell me, neither did I hear of it, until today.*


They said, *We can't, until all the flocks are gathered together, and they roll the stone from the well's mouth. Then we water the sheep.*


A rebuke enters deeper into one who has understanding than a hundred lashes into a fool.
