23 Now, therefore, swear to me here by God that you will not deal falsely with me, nor with my son, nor with my son's son. But according to the kindness that I have done to you, you shall do to me, and to the land in which you have lived as a foreigner.*

Avimelekh took sheep and oxen, male servants and womale servants, and gave them to Avraham, and restored Sarah, his wife, to him.


I will make you swear by the LORD, the God of heaven and the God of the earth, that you shall not take a wife for my son of the daughters of the Kena`anim, among whom I live.


They said, *We saw plainly that the LORD was with you. We said, 'Let there now be an oath between us, even between us and you, and let us make a covenant with you,


Now come, let us make a covenant, you and I; and let it be for a witness between me and you.*


The God of Avraham, and the God of Nachor, the God of their father, judge between us.* Then Ya`akov swore by the fear of his father, Yitzchak.


His master saw that the LORD was with him, and that the LORD made all that he did prosper in his hand.


He said, *Swear to me,* and he swore to him. Yisra'el bowed himself on the bed's head.


and you shall swear, As the LORD lives, in truth, in justice, and in righteousness; and the nations shall bless themselves in him, and in him shall they glory.
