The princes of Par`oh saw her, and praised her to Par`oh; and the woman was taken into Par`oh's house.


Besides, she is indeed my sister, the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother; and she became my wife.


It happened at that time, that Avimelekh and Pikhol the captain of his army spoke to Avraham, saying, *God is with you in all that you do.


There was a famine in the land, besides the first famine that was in the days of Avraham. Yitzchak went to Avimelekh king of the Pelishtim, to Gerar.


Avimelekh said to Yitzchak, *Go from us, for you are much mightier than we.*


The men of the place asked him about his wife. He said, *She is my sister,* for he was afraid to say, *My wife,* lest, he thought, *the men of the place might kill me for Rivka, because she is beautiful to look at.*


Yehu the son of Chanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to king Yehoshafat, Should you help the wicked, and love those who hate the LORD? for this thing wrath is on you from before the LORD.

for a righteous man falls seven times, and rises up again; but the wicked are overthrown by calamity.


The fear of man proves to be a snare, but whoever puts his trust in the LORD is kept safe.


So is he who goes in to his neighbor's wife. Whoever touches her will not be unpunished.


Surely there is not a righteous man on earth, who does good and doesn't sin.


Therefore, putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor. For we are members of one another.


Don't lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his doings,
