He said, *Oh don't let the Lord be angry, and I will speak. What if there are thirty found there?* He said, *I will not do it, if I find thirty there.*


He said, *See now, I have taken it on myself to speak to the Lord. What if there are twenty found there?* He said, *I will not destroy it for the twenty's sake.*


Then Yehudah came near to him, and said, *Oh, my lord, please let your servant speak a word in my lord's ears, and don't let your anger burn against your servant; for you are even as Par`oh.


*If there is beside him an angel, an interpreter, one among a thousand, to show to man what is right for him;


For you, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive; abundant in loving kindness to all those who call on you.


The LORD repented of the evil which he said he would do to his people.


The sacrifice made by the wicked is an abomination to the LORD, but the prayer of the upright is his delight.


Thus says the LORD, As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one says, Don't destroy it, for a blessing is in it: so will I do for my servants' sake, that I may not destroy them all.


Run you back and forth through the streets of Yerushalayim, and see now, and know, and seek in the broad places of it, if you can find a man, if there are any who does justly, who seeks truth; and I will pardon her.


Who is a God like you, who pardons iniquity, and passes over the disobedience of the remnant of his heritage? He doesn't retain his anger forever, because he delights in loving kindness.


*Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you.


Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,


Gid`on said to God, Don't let your anger be kindled against me, and I will speak but this once: Please let me make a trial just this once with the fleece; let it now be dry only on the fleece, and on all the ground let there be dew.
