The LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men built.


Come, let's go down, and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another's speech.*


The LORD said, *Will I hide from Avraham what I do,


God saw the earth, and saw that it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth.


There is no darkness, nor thick gloom, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.


The LORD looked down from heaven on the children of men, to see if there were any who did understand, who did seek after God.


You have set our iniquities before you, our secret sins in the light of your presence.


I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey; to the place of the Kena`ani, the Chittite, the Amori, the Perizzi, the Chivvi, and the Yevusi.


The LORD said to Moshe, *Tell the children of Yisra'el, 'You are a stiff-necked people. If I were to go up into your midst for one moment, I would consume you. Therefore now take off your jewelry from you, that I may know what to do to you.'*


The sin of Yehudah is written with a pen of iron, [and] with the point of a diamond: it is engraved on the tablet of their heart, and on the horns of your altars;


I, the LORD, search the mind, I try the heart, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings.


*Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and preach against it, for their wickedness has come up before me.*


For, behold, the LORD comes forth out of his place, and will come down and tread on the high places of the earth.


It will happen at that time, that I will search Yerushalayim with lamps, and I will punish the men who are settled on their dregs, who say in their heart, *The LORD will not do good, neither will he do evil.*


He said to them, *You are those who justify yourselves in the sight of men, but God knows your hearts. For that which is exalted among men is an abomination in the sight of God.


For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him who sent me.


Why? Because I don't love you? God knows.


you shall not listen to the words of that prophet, or to that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proves you, to know whether you love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.


You shall remember all the way which the LORD your God has led you these forty years in the wilderness, that he might humble you, to prove you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his mitzvot, or not.


For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the chief angel, and with God's shofar. The dead in Messiah will rise first,


There is no creature that is hidden from his sight, but all things are naked and laid open before the eyes of him with whom we have to do.


The Mighty One, God, the LORD, the Mighty One, God, the LORD, he knows; and Yisra'el he shall know: if it be in rebellion, or if in trespass against the LORD (don't save us this day),
