It happened, when Moshe held up his hand, that Yisra'el prevailed; and when he let down his hand, `Amalek prevailed.


Yehoshua defeated `Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.


He said to the elders, *Wait here for us, until we come again to you. Behold, Aharon and Chur are with you. Whoever is involved in a dispute can go to them.*


Strengthen the weak hands, and make firm the feeble knees.


you also helping together on our behalf by your supplication; that, for the gift bestowed on us by means of many, thanks may be given by many persons on your behalf.


with all prayer and requests, praying at all times in the Spirit, and being watchful to this end in all perseverance and requests for all the holy ones:

For Yehoshua didn't draw back his hand, with which he stretched out the javelin, until he had utterly destroyed all the inhabitants of `Ai.
