For I will not trust in my bow, neither shall my sword save me.


Then my enemies shall turn back in the day that I call. I know this, that God is for me.


So Yehoshua did as Moshe had told him, and fought with `Amalek; and Moshe, Aharon, and Chur went up to the top of the hill.


But Moshe' hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat on it. Aharon and Chur held up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side. His hands were steady until sunset.


He also spoke a parable to them that they must always pray, and not give up,


I desire therefore that the men in every place pray, lifting up holy hands without wrath and doubting.


Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective.


For Yehoshua didn't draw back his hand, with which he stretched out the javelin, until he had utterly destroyed all the inhabitants of `Ai.
