You divided the sea before them, so that they went through the midst of the sea on the dry land; and their pursuers you did cast into the depths, as a stone into the mighty waters.


*Remember that you magnify his work, whereof men have sung.


He brought forth his people with joy, his chosen with singing.


Then they believed his words. They sang his praise.


Let them praise the LORD for his loving kindness, for his wonderful works to the children of men!

The LORD said to Moshe, *Stretch out your hand over the sea, that the waters may come again on the Egyptians, on their chariots, and on their horsemen.*


Moshe stretched out his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to its strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it. The LORD overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea.
