and shown signs and wonders on Par`oh, and on all his servants, and on all the people of his land; for you knew that they dealt proudly against them, and did get you a name, as it is this day.


and that you may tell in the hearing of your son, and of your son's son, what things I have done to Egypt, and my signs which I have done among them; that you may know that I am the LORD.*


But the LORD hardened Par`oh's heart, and he wouldn't let them go.


The children of Yisra'el went and did so; as the LORD had commanded Moshe and Aharon, so they did.


The Egyptians pursued, and went in after them into the midst of the sea: all of Par`oh's horses, his chariots, and his horsemen.


He took off their chariot wheels, and they drove them heavily; so that the Egyptians said, *Let's flee from the face of Yisra'el, for the LORD fights for them against the Egyptians!*


Par`oh will say of the children of Yisra'el, 'They are entangled in the land. The wilderness has shut them in.'


It was told the king of Egypt that the people had fled; and the heart of Par`oh and of his servants was changed towards the people, and they said, *What is this we have done, that we have let Yisra'el go from serving us?*


The LORD hardened the heart of Par`oh king of Egypt, and he pursued after the children of Yisra'el; for the children of Yisra'el went out with a high hand.


Now I know that the LORD is greater than all gods because of the thing in which they dealt arrogantly against them.*


and I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God; and you shall know that I am the LORD your God, who brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.


Thus says the LORD, *In this you shall know that I am the LORD. Behold, I will strike with the rod that is in my hand on the waters which are in the river, and they shall be turned to blood.


I will harden Par`oh's heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt.


The Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I stretch forth my hand on Egypt, and bring out the children of Yisra'el from among them.*


but indeed for this cause I have made you stand: to show you my power, and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth;


But I worked for my name's sake, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, among which they were, in whose sight I made myself known to them, in bringing them forth out of the land of Egypt.


and say, Thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, I am against you, Tzidon; and I will be glorified in the midst of you; and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall have executed judgments in her, and shall be sanctified in her.


When I shall make the land of Egypt desolate and waste, a land destitute of that of which it was full, when I shall strike all those who dwell therein, then shall they know that I am the LORD.


and you shall come up against my people Yisra'el, as a cloud to cover the land: it shall happen in the latter days, that I will bring you against my land, that the nations may know me, when I shall be sanctified in you, Gog, before their eyes.


I will magnify myself, and sanctify myself, and I will make myself known in the eyes of many nations; and they shall know that I am the LORD.


Yes, all the people of the land shall bury them; and it shall be to them a renown in the day that I shall be glorified, says the Lord GOD.


Then Moshe said to Aharon, *This is what the LORD spoke of, saying, 'I will show myself holy to those who come near me, and before all the people I will be glorified.'* Aharon held his shalom.


According as it is written, *God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear, to this very day.*


For the Scripture says to Par`oh, *For this very purpose I caused you to be raised up, that I might show in you my power, and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.*


So then, he has mercy on whom he desires, and he hardens whom he desires.


For it was of the LORD to harden their hearts, to come against Yisra'el in battle, that he might utterly destroy them, that they might have no favor, but that he might destroy them, as the LORD commanded Moshe.


I will draw to you, to the river Kishon, Sisera, the captain of Yavin's army, with his chariots and his multitude; and I will deliver him into your hand.
