They meet with darkness in the day time, and grope at noonday as in the night.


He sent darkness, and made it dark. They didn't rebel against his words.


Let their way be dark and slippery, The LORD's angel pursuing them.


He threw on them the fierceness of his anger, wrath, indignation, and trouble, and a band of angels of evil.


The LORD said to Moshe, *Tell Aharon, 'Take your rod, and stretch out your hand over the waters of Egypt, over their rivers, over their streams, and over their pools, and over all their ponds of water, that they may become blood; and there shall be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood and in vessels of stone.'*


The LORD said to Moshe, *Stretch forth your hand toward the sky, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, on man, and on animal, and on every herb of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.*


The way of the wicked is like darkness. They don't know what they stumble over.

For if God didn't spare angels when they sinned, but cast them down to Tartarus, and committed them to pits of darkness, to be reserved for judgment;


wild waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, for whom the blackness of darkness has been reserved forever.


Messengers who didn't keep their first domain, but deserted their own dwelling place, he has kept in everlasting bonds under darkness for the judgment of the great day.


The fourth angel sounded, and one third of the sun was struck, and one third of the moon, and one third of the stars; so that one third of them would be darkened, and the day wouldn't shine for one third of it, and the night in the same way.
