Ya`akov called to his sons, and said: *Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which will happen to you in the days to come.


but if you return to me, and keep my mitzvot and do them, though your outcasts were in the uttermost part of the heavens, yet will I gather them from there, and will bring them to the place that I have chosen, to cause my name to dwell there.


Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses.

In my distress I called on the LORD, and cried to my God. He heard my voice out of his temple. My cry before him came into his ears.


But I will sing of your strength. Yes, I will sing aloud of your loving kindness in the morning. For you have been my high tower, a refuge in the day of my distress.


Moshe told his father-in-law all that the LORD had done to Par`oh and to the Egyptians for Yisra'el's sake, all the hardships that had come on them on the way, and how the LORD delivered them.


If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land;


The anger of the LORD shall not return, until he has executed, and until he have performed the intents of his heart: in the latter days you shall understand it perfectly.


If you will return, Yisra'el, says the LORD, if you will return to me, and if you will put away your abominations out of my sight; then you shall not be removed;


and you shall swear, As the LORD lives, in truth, in justice, and in righteousness; and the nations shall bless themselves in him, and in him shall they glory.


but this thing I commanded them, saying, Listen to my voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be my people; and walk you in all the way that I command you, that it may be well with you.


Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the LORD.


Now I have come to make you understand what shall happen to your people in the latter days; for the vision is yet for [many] days:


Afterward the children of Yisra'el shall return, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king, and shall come with trembling to the LORD and to his blessings in the last days.


Those who are far off shall come and build in the temple of the LORD; and you shall know that the LORD of Armies has sent me to you. This will happen, if you will diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God.*'*


He looked at `Amalek, and took up his parable, and said, `Amalek was the first of the nations, But his latter end shall come to destruction.


but declared first to them of Damascus, at Yerushalayim, and throughout all the country of Yehudah, and also to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, doing works worthy of repentance.


*Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord,


if you shall obey the voice of the LORD your God, to keep his mitzvot and his statutes which are written in this scroll of the Torah; if you turn to the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul.


and shall return to the LORD your God, and shall obey his voice according to all that I command you this day, you and your children, with all your heart, and with all your soul;


Then my anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide my face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall come on them; so that they will say in that day, Haven't these evils come on us because our God is not among us?


It shall happen, when many evils and troubles are come on them, that this song shall testify before them as a witness; for it shall not be forgotten out of the mouths of their seed: for I know their imagination which they frame this day, before I have brought them into the land which I swore.


For I know that after my death you will utterly corrupt yourselves, and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you; and evil will happen to you in the latter days; because you will do that which is evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger through the work of your hands.


has at the end of these days spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the worlds.


Having been made perfect, he became to all of those who obey him the author of eternal salvation,
