They said to him, *We have dreamed a dream, and there is no one who can interpret it.* Yosef said to them, *Don't interpretations belong to God? Please tell it to me.*


It happened in the morning that his spirit was troubled, and he sent and called for all of Egypt's magicians and wise men. Par`oh told them his dreams, but there was no one who could interpret them to Par`oh.


The spirit of Egypt will fail in its midst. I will destroy its counsel. They will seek the idols, the charmers, those who have familiar spirits, and the wizards.


who frustrates the signs of the liars, and makes diviners mad; who turns wise men backward, and makes their knowledge foolish;


Who should not fear you, King of the nations? for to you does it appertain; because among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their royal estate, there is none like you.


In every matter of wisdom and understanding, concerning which the king inquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and enchanters who were in all his realm.


Then the king commanded to call the magicians, and the enchanters, and the sorcerers, and the Kasdim, to tell the king his dreams. So they came in and stood before the king.


Then came in the magicians, the enchanters, the Kasdim, and the soothsayers; and I told the dream before them; but they did not make known to me the interpretation of it.
