King Achashverosh laid a tribute on the land, and on the islands of the sea.


I will set a sign among them, and I will send such as escape of them to the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, who draw the bow, to Tuval and Yavan, to the islands afar off, who have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the nations.


For pass over to the islands of Kittim, and see; and send to Kedar, and consider diligently; and see if there has been such a thing.


Hear the word of the LORD, you nations, and declare it in the islands afar off; and say, He who scattered Yisra'el will gather him, and keep him, as shepherd does his flock.


Of the oaks of Bashan have they made your oars; they have made your benches of ivory inlaid in boxwood, from the islands of Kittim.


Efrayim has bitterly provoked anger. Therefore his blood will be left on him, and his Lord will repay his contempt.


The LORD will be awesome to them, for he will famish all the gods of the land. Men will worship him, everyone from his place, even all the shores of the nations.


For with whatever judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you.
