Yisra'el traveled with all that he had, and came to Be'er-Sheva, and offered sacrifices to the God of his father, Yitzchak.


but when I sleep with my fathers, you shall carry me out of Egypt, and bury me in their burying place.* He said, *I will do as you have said.*


When Ya`akov made an end of charging his sons, he gathered up his feet into the bed, and yielded up the spirit, and was gathered to his people.


Yisra'el also came into Egypt. Ya`akov sojourned in the land of Cham.


Yosef died, as did all his brothers, and all that generation.


Moshe took the bones of Yosef with him, for he had made the children of Yisra'el swear, saying, *God will surely visit you, and you shall carry up my bones away from here with you.*


how our fathers went down into Egypt, and we lived in Egypt a long time; and the Egyptians dealt ill with us, and our fathers:
