I will make of you a great nation. I will bless you and make your name great. You will be a blessing.


After these things the word of the LORD came to Avram in a vision, saying, *Don't be afraid, Avram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.*


It happened, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Avraham, and sent Lot out of the middle of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in which Lot lived.


Lavan said to him, *If now I have found favor in your eyes, stay here, for I have divined that the LORD has blessed me for your sake.*

Sha'ul said to the centurion and to the soldiers, *Unless these stay in the ship, you can't be saved.*
