Moshe was very angry, and said to the LORD, *Don't respect their offering: I have not taken one donkey from them, neither have I hurt one of them.*


If others partake of this right over you, don't we yet more? Nevertheless we did not use this right, but we bear all things, that we may cause no hindrance to the Good News of Messiah.


But I have used none of these things, and I don't write these things that it may be done so in my case; for I would rather die, than that anyone should make my boasting void.


What then is my reward? That, when I preach the Good News, I may present the Good News of Messiah without charge, so as not to abuse my authority in the Good News.


Have we no right to eat and to drink?


Or did I commit a sin in humbling myself that you might be exalted, because I preached to you God's Good News free of charge?


When I was present with you and was in need, I wasn't a burden on anyone, for the brothers, when they came from Macedonia, supplied the measure of my need. In everything I kept myself from being burdensome to you, and I will continue to do so.


Open your hearts to us. We wronged no one. We corrupted no one. We took advantage of no one.


For neither were we at any time found using words of flattery, as you know, nor a cloak of covetousness (God is witness),


Shepherd the flock of God which is among you, exercising the oversight, not under compulsion, but voluntarily, not for dishonest gain, but willingly;


because for the sake of HaShem they went out, taking nothing from the Gentiles.
