Then the Spirit came on `Amasai, who was chief of the thirty, [and he said], *We are yours, David, and on your side, you son of Yishai: shalom, shalom be to you, and shalom be to your helpers; for your God helps you.* Then David received them, and made them captains of the band.


In every city [he put] shields and spears, and made them exceeding strong. Yehudah and Binyamin belonged to him.


On the seventh day, when the heart of the king was merry with wine, he commanded Mehuman, Bizeta, Charvona, Bigta, and Avagta, Zetar, and Karkas, the seven eunuchs who served in the presence of Achashverosh the king,


Now when the turn of Ester, the daughter of Avichayil the uncle of Mordekhai, who had taken her for his daughter, came to go in to the king, she required nothing but what Hegai the king's eunuch, the keeper of the women, advised. Ester obtained favor in the sight of all those who looked at her.
