The LORD sent against him bands of the Kasdim, and bands of the Syrians, and bands of the Mo`avim, and bands of the children of `Ammon, and sent them against Yehudah to destroy it, according to the word of the LORD, which he spoke by his servants the prophets.


The Syrians had gone out in bands, and had brought away captive out of Eretz-Yisra'el a little maiden; and she waited on Na`aman's wife.


The men who have been mentioned by name rose up, and took the captives, and with the spoil clothed all who were naked among them, and arrayed them, and shod them, and gave them to eat and to drink, and anointed them, and carried all the feeble of them on donkeys, and brought them to Yericho, the city of palm trees, to their brothers: then they returned to Shomron.


*Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth.*


If you only greet your friends, what more do you do than others? Don't even the tax collectors do the same?


But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing back; and your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Elyon; for he is kind toward the unthankful and evil.
