Because Menasheh king of Yehudah has done these abominations, and has done wickedly above all that the Amori did, who were before him, and has made Yehudah also to sin with his idols;


Moreover Menasheh shed innocent blood very much, until he had filled Yerushalayim from one end to another; besides his sin with which he made Yehudah to sin, in doing that which was evil in the sight of the LORD.


Notwithstanding, the LORD didn't turn from the fierceness of his great wrath, with which his anger was kindled against Yehudah, because of all the provocation with which Menasheh had provoked him.


Now the rest of the acts of Yehoiakim, and all that he did, aren't they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Yehudah?


They shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Kena`an. The land was polluted with blood.


haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood;


I will cause them to be tossed back and forth among all the kingdoms of the earth, because of Menasheh, the son of Chizkiyahu, king of Yehudah, for that which he did in Yerushalayim.


Because they have forsaken me, and have estranged this place, and have burned incense in it to other gods, that they didn't know, they and their fathers and the kings of Yehudah; and have filled this place with the blood of innocents,


Also in your skirts is found the blood of the souls of the innocent poor: you did not find them breaking in; but it is because of all these things.


But your eyes and your heart are not but for your covetousness, and for shedding innocent blood, and for oppression, and for violence, to do it.


For this city has been to me a provocation of my anger and of my wrath from the day that they built it even to this day; that I should remove it from before my face,


We have transgressed and have rebelled; you have not pardoned.

That it may cause wrath to come up to take vengeance, I have set her blood on the bare rock, that it should not be covered.


Therefore tell them, Thus says the Lord GOD: You eat with the blood, and lift up your eyes to your idols, and shed blood: and shall you possess the land?


So you shall not pollute the land in which you are: for blood, it pollutes the land; and no expiation can be made for the land for the blood that is shed therein, but by the blood of him who shed it.


that innocent blood not be shed in the midst of your land, which the LORD your God gives you for an inheritance, and so blood be on you.


and it happen, when he hears the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have shalom, though I walk in the stubbornness of my heart, to destroy the moist with the dry.
