He made houses of high places, and made Kohanim from among all the people, who were not of the sons of Levi.


For the saying which he cried by the word of the LORD against the altar in Beit-El, and against all the houses of the high places which are in the cities of Shomron, shall surely happen.


So one of the Kohanim whom they had carried away from Shomron came and lived in Beit-El, and taught them how they should fear the LORD.


Indeed all the nations may walk in the name of their gods; but we will walk in the name of the LORD our God forever and ever.
