Moshe said, *Now the LORD shall give you meat to eat in the evening, and in the morning bread to satisfy you; because the LORD hears your murmurings which you murmur against him. And who are we? Your murmurings are not against us, but against the LORD.*


I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears on them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spoke, they did not hear: but they did that which was evil in my eyes, and chose that in which I didn't delight.


At the end of seven years you shall let go every man his brother who is a Hebrew, who has been sold to you, and has served you six years, you shall let him go free from you: but your fathers didn't listen to me, neither inclined their ear.


He said to me, Son of man, I send you to the children of Yisra'el, to nations that are rebellious, which have rebelled against me: they and their fathers have transgressed against me even to this very day.


But the house of Yisra'el will not listen to you; for they will not listen to me: for all the house of Yisra'el are of hard forehead and of a stiff heart.


God came to Bil`am at night, and said to him, If the men are come to call you, rise up, go with them; but only the word which I speak to you, that shall you do.


He who receives you receives me, and he who receives me receives him who sent me.


Whoever listens to you listens to me, and whoever rejects you rejects me. Whoever rejects me rejects him who sent me.*


But his citizens hated him, and sent an envoy after him, saying, 'We don't want this man to reign over us.'


But bring those enemies of mine who didn't want me to reign over them here, and kill them before me.'*


Most certainly I tell you, a servant is not greater than his lord, neither one who is sent greater than he who sent him.


Gid`on said to them, I will not rule over you, neither shall my son rule over you: the LORD shall rule over you.


but you have this day rejected your God, who himself saves you out of all your calamities and your distresses; and you have said to him, [No], but set a king over us. Now therefore present yourselves before the LORD by your tribes, and by your thousands.


Shemu'el said to all Yisra'el, Behold, I have listened to your voice in all that you said to me, and have made a king over you.

The LORD said to Shemu'el, Listen to their voice, and make them a king. Shemu'el said to the men of Yisra'el, Go you every man to his city.


According to all the works which they have done since the day that I brought them up out of Egypt even to this day, in that they have forsaken me, and served other gods, so do they also to you.
