Avraham lived as a foreigner in the land of the Pelishtim many days.


*I am a stranger and a foreigner living with you. Give me a possession of a burying-place with you, that I may bury my dead out of my sight.*


Ya`akov said to Par`oh, *The days of the years of my pilgrimage are one hundred thirty years. Few and evil have been the days of the years of my life, and they have not attained to the days of the years of the life of my fathers in the days of their pilgrimage.*


For we are strangers before you, and foreigners, as all our fathers were: our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is no abiding.


I am a stranger on the earth. Don't hide your mitzvot from me.


Your statutes have been my songs, in the house where I live.


*Hear my prayer, LORD, and give ear to my cry. Don't be silent at my tears. For I am a stranger with you, a foreigner, as all my fathers were.


If a man lies with a woman and there is an emission of semen, they shall both bathe themselves in water, and be unclean until the evening.

but I see a different law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity under the law of sin which is in my members.


For if you live after the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.


We are therefore ambassadors on behalf of Messiah, as though God were entreating by us. We beg you on behalf of Messiah, be reconciled to God.


Working together, we entreat also that you not receive the grace of God in vain,


Having therefore these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.


Those who belong to Messiah have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.


So then you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but you are fellow citizens with the holy ones, and of the household of God,


I therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, beg you to walk worthily of the calling with which you were called,


Flee from youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.


These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them and embraced them from afar, and having confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.


But, beloved, we are persuaded of better things for you, and things that accompany salvation, even though we speak like this.


Where do wars and fightings among you come from? Don't they come from your pleasures that war in your members?


Kefa, an emissary of Yeshua the Messiah, to the chosen ones who are living as foreigners in the Diaspora in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,


If you call on him as Father, who without respect of persons judges according to each man's work, pass the time of your living as foriegners here in reverent fear:


Beloved, don't be astonished at the fiery trial which has come upon you, to test you, as though a strange thing happened to you.


that you no longer should live the rest of your time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.


This is now, beloved, the second letter that I have written to you; and in both of them I stir up your sincere mind by reminding you;
