I sent messengers out of the wilderness of Kedemot to Sichon king of Cheshbon with words of shalom, saying,


We took the land at that time out of the hand of the two kings of the Amori who were beyond the Yarden, from the valley of the Arnon to Mount Chermon;


Now these are the kings of the land, whom the children of Yisra'el struck, and possessed their land beyond the Yarden toward the sunrise, from the valley of the Arnon to Mount Chermon, and all the `Aravah eastward:


Moshe the servant of the LORD and the children of Yisra'el struck them: and Moshe the servant of the LORD gave it for a possession to the Re'uveni, and the Gadi, and the half-tribe of Menasheh.
