for so was it charged me by the word of the LORD, saying, You shall eat no bread, nor drink water, neither return by the way that you came.


But he said, As the LORD lives, before whom I stand, I will receive none. He urged him to take it; but he refused.


Don't incline my heart to any evil thing, to practice deeds of wickedness with men who work iniquity. Don't let me eat of their delicacies.


They said, *The God of the Hebrews has met with us. Please let us go three days' journey into the wilderness, and sacrifice to the LORD, our God, lest he fall on us with pestilence, or with the sword.*


The same day Par`oh commanded the taskmasters of the people, and their officers, saying,


You shall speak all that I command you; and Aharon your brother shall speak to Par`oh, that he let the children of Yisra'el go out of his land.


Bil`am answered the servants of Balak, If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I can't go beyond the word of the LORD my God, to do less or more.


He said to them, Lodge here this night, and I will bring you word again, as the LORD shall speak to me: and the princes of Mo'av abode with Bil`am.
