Moreover the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with the finest gold.


All king Shlomo's drinking vessels were of gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Levanon were of pure gold: none were of silver; it was nothing accounted of in the days of Shlomo.


Yehoshafat made ships of Tarshish to go to Ofir 1 for gold: but they didn't go; for the ships were broken at `Etzyon-Gever.


Then said Achazyah the son of Ach'av to Yehoshafat, Let my servants go with your servants in the ships. But Yehoshafat would not.


King Shlomo made a navy of ships in `Etzyon-Gever, which is beside Elot, on the shore of the Sea of Suf, in the land of Edom.


For the king had ships that went to Tarshish with the servants of Churam; once every three years came the ships of Tarshish, bringing gold, and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks.
