David appointed some of the Levites to lead the worship of the Lord, the God of Israel, in front of the Covenant Box, by singing and praising him.


He healed them with his command and saved them from the grave.


May your priests do always what is right; may your people shout for joy!


He made his nation strong, so that all his people praise him— the people of Israel, so dear to him. Praise the Lord!


O Lord, my defender, I call to you. Listen to my cry! If you do not answer me, I will be among those who go down to the world of the dead.


You that are righteous, be glad and rejoice because of what the Lord has done. You that obey him, shout for joy!


He says, “Gather my faithful people to me, those who made a covenant with me by offering a sacrifice.”


How great is your constant love for me! You have saved me from the grave itself.


All you that are righteous be glad because of what the Lord has done! Remember what the holy God has done, and give thanks to him.


“Lord, who among the gods is like you? Who is like you, wonderful in holiness? Who can work miracles and mighty acts like yours?


They were calling out to each other: “Holy, holy, holy! The Lord Almighty is holy! His glory fills the world.”


Each one of the four living creatures had six wings, and they were covered with eyes, inside and out. Day and night they never stop singing: “Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was, who is, and who is to come.”


The Lord kills and restores to life; he sends people to the world of the dead and brings them back again.
