The Lord said to my lord, “Sit here at my right side until I put your enemies under your feet.”


And so I praise you among the nations; I sing praises to you.


When he is king, the people of Judah will be safe, and the people of Israel will live in peace. He will be called ‘The Lord Our Salvation.’


“Those who declare publicly that they belong to me, I will do the same for them before my Father in heaven.


This very day in David's town your Savior was born—Christ the Lord!


Even then, many Jewish authorities believed in Jesus; but because of the Pharisees they did not talk about it openly, so as not to be expelled from the synagogue.


“You call me Teacher and Lord, and it is right that you do so, because that is what I am.


I, your Lord and Teacher, have just washed your feet. You, then, should wash one another's feet.


And I will do whatever you ask for in my name, so that the Father's glory will be shown through the Son.


Jesus answered him, “Those who love me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and my Father and I will come to them and live with them.


After Jesus finished saying this, he looked up to heaven and said, “Father, the hour has come. Give glory to your Son, so that the Son may give glory to you.


Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!”


so that all will honor the Son in the same way as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.


His parents said this because they were afraid of the Jewish authorities, who had already agreed that anyone who said he believed that Jesus was the Messiah would be expelled from the synagogue.


You know the message he sent to the people of Israel, proclaiming the Good News of peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all.


“All the people of Israel, then, are to know for sure that this Jesus, whom you crucified, is the one that God has made Lord and Messiah!”


For the scripture says, “As surely as I am the living God, says the Lord, everyone will kneel before me, and everyone will confess that I am God.”


For Christ died and rose to life in order to be the Lord of the living and of the dead.


and to enable even the Gentiles to praise God for his mercy. As the scripture says, “And so I will praise you among the Gentiles; I will sing praises to you.”


I want you to know that no one who is led by God's Spirit can say “A curse on Jesus!” and no one can confess “Jesus is Lord,” without being guided by the Holy Spirit.


The first Adam, made of earth, came from the earth; the second Adam came from heaven.


yet there is for us only one God, the Father, who is the Creator of all things and for whom we live; and there is only one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things were created and through whom we live.


Through him you believe in God, who raised him from death and gave him glory; and so your faith and hope are fixed on God.


If we declare that Jesus is the Son of God, we live in union with God and God lives in union with us.


This is how you will be able to know whether it is God's Spirit: anyone who acknowledges that Jesus Christ came as a human being has the Spirit who comes from God.


Many deceivers have gone out over the world, people who do not acknowledge that Jesus Christ came as a human being. Such a person is a deceiver and the Enemy of Christ.


Those who win the victory will be clothed like this in white, and I will not remove their names from the book of the living. In the presence of my Father and of his angels I will declare openly that they belong to me.
