I will make you and the woman hate each other; her offspring and yours will always be enemies. Her offspring will crush your head, and you will bite her offspring's heel.”


Judah will hold the royal scepter, And his descendants will always rule. Nations will bring him tribute And bow in obedience before him.


Their kings revolt, their rulers plot together against the Lord and against the king he chose.


A child is born to us! A son is given to us! And he will be our ruler. He will be called, “Wonderful Counselor,” “Mighty God,” “Eternal Father,” “Prince of Peace.”


She will have a son, and you will name him Jesus—because he will save his people from their sins.”


Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”


Then Jesus ordered his disciples not to tell anyone that he was the Messiah.


Why should this great thing happen to me, that my Lord's mother comes to visit me?


He has provided for us a mighty Savior, a descendant of his servant David.


and had assured him that he would not die before he had seen the Lord's promised Messiah.


Joseph went from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to the town of Bethlehem in Judea, the birthplace of King David. Joseph went there because he was a descendant of David.


At once he found his brother Simon and told him, “We have found the Messiah.” (This word means “Christ.”)


Philip found Nathanael and told him, “We have found the one whom Moses wrote about in the book of the Law and whom the prophets also wrote about. He is Jesus son of Joseph, from Nazareth.”


“Yes, Lord!” she answered. “I do believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, who was to come into the world.”


But these have been written in order that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that through your faith in him you may have life.


The woman said to him, “I know that the Messiah will come, and when he comes, he will tell us everything.”


and they told the woman, “We believe now, not because of what you said, but because we ourselves have heard him, and we know that he really is the Savior of the world.”


And now we believe and know that you are the Holy One who has come from God.”


Others said, “He is the Messiah!” But others said, “The Messiah will not come from Galilee!


You know the message he sent to the people of Israel, proclaiming the Good News of peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all.


It was Jesus, a descendant of David, whom God made the Savior of the people of Israel, as he had promised.


and explaining the Scriptures, and proving from them that the Messiah had to suffer and rise from death. “This Jesus whom I announce to you,” Paul said, “is the Messiah.”


“All the people of Israel, then, are to know for sure that this Jesus, whom you crucified, is the one that God has made Lord and Messiah!”


God raised him to his right side as Leader and Savior, to give the people of Israel the opportunity to repent and have their sins forgiven.


The first Adam, made of earth, came from the earth; the second Adam came from heaven.


and all will openly proclaim that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.


Not only those things; I reckon everything as complete loss for the sake of what is so much more valuable, the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have thrown everything away; I consider it all as mere garbage, so that I may gain Christ


Since you have accepted Christ Jesus as Lord, live in union with him.


And we have seen and tell others that the Father sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.


Whoever believes that Jesus is the Messiah is a child of God; and whoever loves a father loves his child also.
