1 Peter 4:11 - Good News Translation

11 Those who preach must preach God's messages; those who serve must serve with the strength that God gives them, so that in all things praise may be given to God through Jesus Christ, to whom belong glory and power forever and ever. Amen.

Your rule is eternal, and you are king forever. The Lord is faithful to his promises; he is merciful in all his acts.


You are to answer them, “Listen to what the Lord is teaching you! Don't listen to mediums—what they tell you cannot keep trouble away.”


If they had known my secret thoughts, then they could have proclaimed my message to my people and could have made them give up the evil lives they live and the wicked things they do.


“How great are the wonders God shows us! How powerful are the miracles he performs! God is king forever; he will rule for all time.


“When the seven years had passed,” said the king, “I looked up at the sky, and my sanity returned. I praised the Supreme God and gave honor and glory to the one who lives forever. “He will rule forever, and his kingdom will last for all time.


He was given authority, honor, and royal power, so that the people of all nations, races, and languages would serve him. His authority would last forever, and his kingdom would never end.


Do not bring us to hard testing, but keep us safe from the Evil One.’


After Judas had left, Jesus said, “Now the Son of Man's glory is revealed; now God's glory is revealed through him.


He is the one who was with the people of Israel assembled in the desert; he was there with our ancestors and with the angel who spoke to him on Mount Sinai, and he received God's living messages to pass on to us.


For all things were created by him, and all things exist through him and for him. To God be the glory forever! Amen.


And because of God's gracious gift to me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you should. Instead, be modest in your thinking, and judge yourself according to the amount of faith that God has given you.


To the only God, who alone is all-wise, be glory through Jesus Christ forever! Amen.


Much, indeed, in every way! In the first place, God trusted his message to the Jews.


Well, whatever you do, whether you eat or drink, do it all for God's glory.


There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but the same Spirit gives them.


Using the gift that God gave me, I did the work of an expert builder and laid the foundation, and someone else is building on it. But each of you must be careful how you build.


he bought you for a price. So use your bodies for God's glory.


We are not like so many others, who handle God's message as if it were cheap merchandise; but because God has sent us, we speak with sincerity in his presence, as servants of Christ.


And because of the proof which this service of yours brings, many will give glory to God for your loyalty to the gospel of Christ, which you profess, and for your generosity in sharing with them and everyone else.


and how very great is his power at work in us who believe. This power working in us is the same as the mighty strength


Do not use harmful words, but only helpful words, the kind that build up and provide what is needed, so that what you say will do good to those who hear you.


In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, always give thanks for everything to God the Father.


Finally, build up your strength in union with the Lord and by means of his mighty power.


Your lives will be filled with the truly good qualities which only Jesus Christ can produce, for the glory and praise of God.


and all will openly proclaim that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.


Your speech should always be pleasant and interesting, and you should know how to give the right answer to everyone.


Instead, we always speak as God wants us to, because he has judged us worthy to be entrusted with the Good News. We do not try to please people, but to please God, who tests our motives.


To the eternal King, immortal and invisible, the only God—to him be honor and glory forever and ever! Amen.


He alone is immortal; he lives in the light that no one can approach. No one has ever seen him; no one can ever see him. To him be honor and eternal power! Amen.


But you must teach what agrees with sound doctrine.


Teach these things and use your full authority as you encourage and rebuke your hearers. Let none of them look down on you.


Remember your former leaders, who spoke God's message to you. Think back on how they lived and died, and imitate their faith.


There has been enough time for you to be teachers—yet you still need someone to teach you the first lessons of God's message. Instead of eating solid food, you still have to drink milk.


Remember this, my dear friends! Everyone must be quick to listen, but slow to speak and slow to become angry.


Do any of you think you are religious? If you do not control your tongue, your religion is worthless and you deceive yourself.


Your conduct among the heathen should be so good that when they accuse you of being evildoers, they will have to recognize your good deeds and so praise God on the Day of his coming.


Come as living stones, and let yourselves be used in building the spiritual temple, where you will serve as holy priests to offer spiritual and acceptable sacrifices to God through Jesus Christ.


Each one, as a good manager of God's different gifts, must use for the good of others the special gift he has received from God.


However, if you suffer because you are a Christian, don't be ashamed of it, but thank God that you bear Christ's name.


To him be the power forever! Amen.


to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, might, and authority, from all ages past, and now, and forever and ever! Amen.
