Come, O children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord.


Then I will teach transgressors your ways, and sinners will return to you.


Besides being wise, the Preacher also taught the people knowledge, weighing and studying and arranging many proverbs with great care.


Then he who saw cried out: “Upon a watchtower I stand, O Lord, continually by day, and at my post I am stationed whole nights.


Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them inthe name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,


This man came to Jesus by night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do unless God is with him.”


Now there were in the church at Antioch prophets and teachers, Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen a lifelong friend of Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.


how I did not shrink from declaring to you anything that was profitable, and teaching you in public and from house to house,


Pay careful attention to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to care for the church of God, which he obtained with his own blood.


Now in these days when the disciples were increasing in number, a complaint by the Hellenists arose against the Hebrews because their widows were being neglected in the daily distribution.


And God has appointed in the church first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, helping, administrating, and various kinds of tongues.


and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord;


What then, brothers? When you come together, each one has a hymn, a lesson, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. Let all things be done for building up.


Let the one who is taught the word share all good things with the one who teaches.


And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers,


They shall teach Jacob your rules and Israel your law; they shall put incense before you and whole burnt offerings on your altar.


And say to Archippus, “See that you fulfill the ministry that you have received in the Lord.”


For this I was appointed a preacher and an apostle (I am telling the truth, I am not lying), a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.


Therefore an overseer must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, sober-minded, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach,


Keep a close watch on yourself and on the teaching. Persist in this, for by so doing you will save both yourself and your hearers.


Let the elders who rule well be considered worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in preaching and teaching.


and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.


And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil,


preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching.


Moreover, as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord by ceasing to pray for you, and I will instruct you in the good and the right way.
