For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him;


The Lord is at your right hand; he will shatter kings on the day of his wrath.


but the Lord takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope in his steadfast love.


Then he will speak to them in his wrath, and terrify them in his fury, saying,


Surely his salvation is near to those who fear him, that glory may dwell in our land.


The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.


Though a sinner does evil a hundred times and prolongs his life, yet I know that it will be well with those who fear God, because they fear before him.


But news from the east and the north shall alarm him, and he shall go out with great fury to destroy and devote many to destruction.


But the court shall sit in judgment, and his dominion shall be taken away, to be consumed and destroyed to the end.


By his cunning he shall make deceit prosper under his hand, and in his own mind he shall become great. Without warning he shall destroy many. And he shall even rise up against the Prince of princes, and he shall be broken—but by no human hand.


Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.


And his mercy is for those who fear him from generation to generation.


And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment,


but that in the days of the trumpet call to be sounded by the seventh angel, the mystery of God would be fulfilled, just as he announced to his servants the prophets.


but do not measure the court outside the temple; leave that out, for it is given over to the nations, and they will trample the holy city for forty-two months.


If anyone is to be taken captive, to captivity he goes; if anyone is to be slain with the sword, with the sword must he be slain. Here is a call for the endurance and faith of the saints.


Also it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead,


he also will drink the wine of God’s wrath, poured full strength into the cup of his anger, and he will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.


Then I saw another sign in heaven, great and amazing, seven angels with seven plagues, which are the last, for with them the wrath of God is finished.


And one of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls full of the wrath of God who lives forever and ever,


Pay her back as she herself has paid back others, and repay her double for her deeds; mix a double portion for her in the cup she mixed.


From his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron. He will tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty.


to eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all men, both free and slave, both small and great.”


And from the throne came a voice saying, “Praise our God, all you his servants, you who fear him, small and great.”


And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done.


And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.


“Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay each one for what he has done.
