They open wide their mouths against me; they say, “Aha, Aha! Our eyes have seen it!”


Let them not say in their hearts, “Aha, our heart’s desire!” Let them not say, “We have swallowed him up.”


Let those be appalled because of their shame who say to me, “Aha, Aha!”


May my accusers be put to shame and consumed; with scorn and disgrace may they be covered who seek my hurt.


And my tongue will talk of your righteous help all the day long, for they have been put to shame and disappointed who sought to do me hurt.


Say to the Ammonites, Hear the word of the Lord God: Thus says the Lord God, Because you said, ‘Aha!’ over my sanctuary when it was profaned, and over the land of Israel when it was made desolate, and over the house of Judah when they went into exile,


“Son of man, because Tyre said concerning Jerusalem, ‘Aha, the gate of the peoples is broken; it has swung open to me. I shall be replenished, now that she is laid waste,’


Thus says the Lord God: Because the enemy said of you, ‘Aha!’ and, ‘The ancient heights have become our possession,’


(Now this man acquired a field with the reward of his wickedness, and falling headlong he burst open in the middle and all his bowels gushed out.
