“Dominion and fear are with God; he makes peace in his high heaven.


As soon as they heard of me they obeyed me; foreigners came cringing to me.


Foreigners lost heart and came trembling out of their fortresses.


For the Lord, the Most High, is to be feared, a great king over all the earth.


By awesome deeds you answer us with righteousness, O God of our salvation, the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest seas;


Rebuke the beasts that dwell among the reeds, the herd of bulls with the calves of the peoples. Trample underfoot those who lust after tribute; scatter the peoples who delight in war.


who cuts off the spirit of princes, who is to be feared by the kings of the earth.


Those who hate the Lord would cringe toward him, and their fate would last forever.


And Miriam sang to them: “Sing to the Lord, for he has triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider he has thrown into the sea.”


And people shall enter the caves of the rocks and the holes of the ground, from before the terror of the Lord, and from the splendor of his majesty, when he rises to terrify the earth.


Therefore strong peoples will glorify you; cities of ruthless nations will fear you.


Lift up your eyes on high and see: who created these? He who brings out their host by number, calling them all by name; by the greatness of his might and because he is strong in power, not one is missing.


When you did awesome things that we did not look for, you came down, the mountains quaked at your presence.


But the Lord is the true God; he is the living God and the everlasting King. At his wrath the earth quakes, and the nations cannot endure his indignation.
