Though he slay me, I will hope in him; yet I will argue my ways to his face.


I went about as though I grieved for my friend or my brother; as one who laments his mother, I bowed down in mourning.


Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices!


I am utterly bowed down and prostrate; all the day I go about mourning.
