So the king died, and was brought to Samaria. And they buried the king in Samaria.


And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “There is yet one man by whom we may inquire of the Lord, Micaiah the son of Imlah, but I hate him, for he never prophesies good concerning me, but evil.” And Jehoshaphat said, “Let not the king say so.”


They collapse and fall, but we rise and stand upright.


Let those be appalled because of their shame who say to me, “Aha, Aha!”


I will crush his foes before him and strike down those who hate him.


He will bring back on them their iniquity and wipe them out for their wickedness; the Lord our God will wipe them out.


It shall be eaten in one house; you shall not take any of the flesh outside the house, and you shall not break any of its bones.


“You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.


for the righteous falls seven times and rises again, but the wicked stumble in times of calamity.


Woe to the wicked! It shall be ill with him, for what his hands have dealt out shall be done to him.


But his citizens hated him and sent a delegation after him, saying, ‘We do not want this man to reign over us.’


But as for these enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, bring them here and slaughter them before me.’”


The world cannot hate you, but it hates me because I testify about it that its works are evil.


since indeed God considers it just to repay with affliction those who afflict you,


They will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might,


Then Saul said to his armor-bearer, “Draw your sword, and thrust me through with it, lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and mistreat me.” But his armor-bearer would not, for he feared greatly. Therefore Saul took his own sword and fell upon it.
