Its crashing declares his presence; the cattle also declare that he rises.


Have you an arm like God, and can you thunder with a voice like his?


He lays the beams of his chambers on the waters; he makes the clouds his chariot; he rides on the wings of the wind;


On the morning of the third day there were thunders and lightnings and a thick cloud on the mountain and a very loud trumpet blast, so that all the people in the camp trembled.


Plead with the Lord, for there has been enough of God’s thunder and hail. I will let you go, and you shall stay no longer.”


So Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh and stretched out his hands to the Lord, and the thunder and the hail ceased, and the rain no longer poured upon the earth.


The crowd that stood there and heard it said that it had thundered. Others said, “An angel has spoken to him.”

Then the angel took the censer and filled it with fire from the altar and threw it on the earth, and there were peals of thunder, rumblings, flashes of lightning, and an earthquake.


As Samuel was offering up the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to attack Israel. But the Lord thundered with a mighty sound that day against the Philistines and threw them into confusion, and they were defeated before Israel.
