The inner sanctuary he prepared in the innermost part of the house, to set there the ark of the covenant of the Lord.


He also built a structure against the wall of the house, running around the walls of the house, both the nave and the inner sanctuary. And he made side chambers all around.


whatever prayer, whatever plea is made by any man or by all your people Israel, each knowing the affliction of his own heart and stretching out his hands toward this house,

I say to the Lord, You are my God; give ear to the voice of my pleas for mercy, O Lord!


O Lord, I call upon you; hasten to me! Give ear to my voice when I call to you!


Let my prayer be counted as incense before you, and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice!


I stretch out my hands to you; my soul thirsts for you like a parched land. Selah


But I, through the abundance of your steadfast love, will enter your house. I will bow down toward your holy temple in the fear of you.


So I will bless you as long as I live; in your name I will lift up my hands.

When Daniel knew that the document had been signed, he went to his house where he had windows in his upper chamber open toward Jerusalem. He got down on his knees three times a day and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as he had done previously.


Then these men came by agreement and found Daniel making petition and plea before his God.


I desire then that in every place the men should pray, lifting holy hands without anger or quarreling;
