So it was not you who sent me here, but God. He has made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house and ruler over all the land of Egypt.


Now there happened to be there a worthless man, whose name was Sheba, the son of Bichri, a Benjaminite. And he blew the trumpet and said, “We have no portion in David, and we have no inheritance in the son of Jesse; every man to his tents, O Israel!”


He delivers even the one who is not innocent, who will be delivered through the cleanness of your hands.”


When it goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices, and when the wicked perish there are shouts of gladness.


Whoever belittles his neighbor lacks sense, but a man of understanding remains silent.


Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.


When a land transgresses, it has many rulers, but with a man of understanding and knowledge, its stability will long continue.


Scoffers set a city aflame, but the wise turn away wrath.


But there was found in it a poor, wise man, and he by his wisdom delivered the city. Yet no one remembered that poor man.


And the tongue is a fire, a world of unrighteousness. The tongue is set among our members, staining the whole body, setting on fire the entire course of life, and set on fire by hell.
